RNs & LPNs make preliminary diagnosis for campers and staff, and either treat or refer to doctor/nurse-practitioner, dispense medications and speak with parents. Nursing Aids assist in busy day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include looking after campers admitted, keeping the facility organized, making, and receiving calls to/from parents, arranging outside medical visits to specialized doctors, dentists, hospital, and keeping accurate medical records. 3 and 6 week sessions available as well. Camp Shane runs co-ed weight loss camps for children located in the Catskill Mountains of New York State and in Mayer, Arizona.
