Camp Shane runs specialized camps for overweight children in the Catskill Mountains of New York and in Mayer, Arizona. The objectives of the camp are for the campers to lose weight, learn new skills, gain self-esteem and have fun. We have an Aerobic Center and each period a different age group of campers, accompanied by their counselor, will arrive at the center. It is completely up to you to run the sessions, so you will need to be prepared with routines for different age groups. Our campers range in age from 8-25. You may want to bring some of your favorite music. We have other aerobic instructors on staff to ensure you get appropriate rest periods however, each is required to teach three 45 minute classes, 6 days a week plus lead a morning stretch to warm up the campers for the day ahead.
