 Site Nurse
Job Location: sites across USA - many, MD, United States
Job Description:
The site nurse is responsible for overseeing medical issues at the site. The position is both administrative and clinical. Primary duties include reviewing student medical forms; overseeing the dispensing of prescription and OTC medications students have brought with them to the site; conferring with parents; screening and treating students and staff illnesses and injuries; making referrals and acting as a liaison to nearby clinics, physician's offices, and/or hospitals. At residential sites, the site nurse receives assistance with record-keeping and clerical duties from a health assistant.
Terms of Employment:
Starting salary is $2400 to $3000, depending on experience, for a three- to four-week period; Alternatively, for part-time employment salary ranges from $18.50/hour - $23.00/ hour. Employees pay their travel to and from program locations; For residential program employees, room and board are provided.
Dates of Employment:
Session 1 is from June 23 to July 19, 2006 and session 2 is from July 19 - August 11, 2006.

Job Requirements:
Degree in nursing: LPN or RN; Ability to advise staff on health awareness and prevention issues; Ability to work well with children; Solid communication and computer skill.
