Horseback Riding Instructor / Counselor -Summer Camp Position

Job Description:

Brown Ledge offers a quality riding program with 11 member staff, 38 horses, shows, mini-CTE, drill team, etc. Staff works as a team instructing all facets of riding, horsemanship, stable management, etc., ability to work well with people and excite students. Live-in position. Those who have held this position in the past have truly enjoyed it.

Beautiful location on Lake Champlain Burlington, Vermont. Co-ed staff (19 to 70 years old, average age 26) hails from all over US and variety of other countries. We offer a full activity program - including archery, tennis, riding, theatre arts, riflery, arts & crafts, sailing, swimming, diving, water skiing, canoeing & kayaking. Brown Ledge gives campers unusual degrees of freedom and autonomy. Excellent instruction. High return rate of staff.

Job Requirements:

2 Instructors sought with solid experience in Eventing and/or H/J, and/or Pony Club and ability to teach small group lessons from beginner to advanced levels; contribute to management of 38 horse stable, show teams, drill team and mini-CTE; as well as lecture on aspects of horsemanship, stable management, etc. in a fun loving, active learning environment dedicated to quality riding. Live-in positions. Well known summer camp with unique program located on Lake Champlain near Burlington, Vermont.
