Songleader/Music Specialist
Job Location: northeast Pennsylvania - Honesdale, PA, United States
Job Description:
Music specialist will conduct small sessions teaching campers songs, listenig to music,etc. Mayalso lead larger groups in group sing-alongs and participate in lager camp-wide activities - ie. July 4th, campfires, etc. A singing camp is a happy camp!
Job Requirements:
Candidate shold be skilledin camp music andplay guitar, keyboard, or accordian. Experience should iclude teaching and leading songs to small groups as well as participation in larger scale coordinated activities (plays, dance shows, community sing-alongs). Ideal candidate is bubbly, energetic, and enthusiastic with a repetroire of upbeat tunes, folk songs, old rock and roll,and easy to sing/hum tunes.
How To Apply:
Summit Camp employs staff from around the world. Staff members who are not USA citizens join us as members of a cultural exchange format and work with us under a specific Visa status – the J-1. These visas are provided by one of several exchange organizations. We are able to connect you should this be necessary.
Our season includes a formal staff orientation as well as the camper season. This year it is June 18-August 13, 2009. Most specialists arrive June 17, 2009. Waterfront staff (for our American Red Cross aquatics training week), Ropes Staff (for ropes course training) food service staff and other support positions join us June 11, 2009.
