GROUP LEADER

Job Location: NYC, Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, NJ, Westcheste - New York, NY, United States

Job Description:

You and a Co-Leader are role models as you lead your group (approximately 15 children) through the Oasis day. You will form strong relationships with the children and staff within the Oasis community. You'll get a chance to be part of an educational community teaching and learning about a wide array of subjects from soccer and art to science, photography and other enriching activities.

Group leaders are responsible for providing for the emotional and physical well being of children by following all policies and safety procedures, guiding the individual children and group in participation in all camp activities with an awareness of individual needs as well as group processes, escorting group from one activity to another, taking an active role in instruction as an assistant at all activities and workshops, informing division leader if a problem occurs within group and completing daily reports about each child in your group.

Job Requirements:

One year experience working with children is preferred and candidates must be entering his/her senior year in high school.

Housing is not provided for staff, so you must arrange for your own housing or already live in the New York City area.
