Job Description:

As a part of the Oasis Leadership Team you oversee up to four groups (approximately sixty children) and manage a staff of 6-10. You are responsible for all aspects of the division’s program, working with children's parents, handling disciplinary problems and leading day trips. You will learn how an effective program is managed. Divion leaders responsibility include teaching staff responsibilities in activities during staff training, leading orientation activities for campers, supervising children and staff throughout the summer, keeping records pertaining to staff and children, communicating with parents throughout the summer, assisting with overall camp activities, attending daily / weekly meetings, taking an active role is all aspects of risk management (fire, lost camper, hazards, etc), and providing ongoing evaluation of staff.

Job Requirements:

Previous camping and/or supervisory experience, ability to supervise children and staff and a bachelors degree.

Housing is not provided for staff, so you must arrange for your own housing or already live in the New York City area.
