SEEKING LAND SPORTS INSTRUCTORS: We are seeking multi-talented enthusiastic individuals who can provide quality instruction from beginner to advanced levels in two or more land sports. Instruction is geared to the camper's individual skill level, and is patient and thorough with due regard for both safety and enjoyment. The Athletic Program is comprised of two Athletic Directors (1 on each campus) and over 60 qualified instructors who have documented experience in their specialty area, as both a competitor/player as well as a teacher/coach. Applicants, who hold current certification in their area of expertise, are preferred.

LAND SPORTS ACTIVITIES: Aerobics, archery, badminton, baseball, basketball, bubble soccer, cheerleading, dodgeball, exercise and fitness, extreme bungee jumping, fencing, field hockey, floor hockey, flag football, frisbee, gaga, golf, gymnastics, horseback riding, inline skating, jogging, judo, karate, kickball, lacrosse, martial arts, newcomb, paintball, ping-pong, riflery, roller hockey, rugby, skateboarding, soccer, softball, tennis, tetherball, t-ball, touch football, track meets, video game room, volleyball, weight training, and wrestling.

SEEKING POOL & LAKE STAFF: We are seeking swimming instructors, lifeguards, swim team coaches, and watercraft instructors to lead multiple water sports activities at our 2 pools and private lake. Waterfront Staff is comprised of Pool Directors (one at each pool), Lakefront Director, 8-10 swim instructors, 8-10 lifeguards, and 8-10 watercraft instructors. Staff are required to hold American Red Cross (or equivalent) current certification in their area of expertise (WSI, lifeguarding, sailing, etc), and have documented experience teaching the aquatic skills in their specialty area to children of all ages. Waterfront Staff are trained, evaluated, and qualified in emergency and rescue procedures by our Pool/Lake Directors prior to the campers' arrival.

WATER SPORTS ACTIVITIES: American Red Cross swim instruction, recreational swimming, competitive swimming, water ballet, water polo, water volleyball, water basketball, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, row boating, pedal boats, paddle boards, windsurfing, fishing, tubing, intercamp swim meets, scuba diving clinics, polar bear club, and canoe/rafting trips.

SEEKING CREATIVE ARTS STAFF: We are seeking artistically-creative and talented individuals to lead our Creative Arts Program, which features a broad spectrum of activities that provide campers the opportunity to artistically express themselves. The Creative Arts Staff is comprised of four Directors who are certified art teachers with experience managing diverse art programs, and 20+ university-level instructors who are majoring in art and/or have documented experience teaching all levels of art expression to children of all ages.

CREATIVE ARTS ACTIVITIES: Arts & crafts, pottery (throwing pots), pottery wheel operation, ceramics (glazing & firing), kiln operation, clay work (sculpting), t-shirt creations (tye dyeing, air brushing, fabric painting, & silk screening), painting (water color & acrylics), drawing, sketching (charcoal pencils), jewelry making, beading, basket weaving, lanyards & braiding, leather craft, macramé, paper mache & plaster projects, wood projects, copper enameling, block printing, needle craft, mask making, decoupage, model rocketry, and nature crafts.

SEEKING PERFORMING ARTS STAFF: We are seeking creative talented individuals to lead our Performing Arts Program, which emphasizes 3 areas of instruction: Drama, Dance, and Music. The Performing Arts Staff is comprised of two Directors (1 on each campus) who are Theater Arts teachers with experience managing and directing drama classes and productions, and 20+ Instructors who have documented theatre experience and the ability to teach and provide children of all ages the opportunity for self-expression in the area of their expertise.

PERFORMING ARTS ACTIVITIES: Drama (acting, improvisation, set design & construction), music (guitar & keyboards), singing and chorus, dance (ballet, social, jazz, tap, modern), yoga, zumba, aerobics, theatre productions, talent shows, trips to local theatres.

SEEKING HORSEMANSHIP STAFF: We are seeking hard-working instructors who are qualified to teach horsemanship in both English & Western styles from beginner to advanced levels to children of all ages. The Horsemanship Director is CHA certified (or equivalent) and has documented experience managing an Equestrian Program, including supervising staff, organizing classes, maintaining the facility, and caring for the horses. The Horsemanship Staff is comprised of instructors who have certification in equine studies and/or experience teaching horsemanship classes to children of all abilities. The staff is responsible for barn cleanliness (including mucking-out, sweeping, etc); health & care of our horses (including feeding, watering, grooming, tacking, walking-out); daily class assignments (ring instruction, trail rides) with appropriate instruction at all levels; and proper supervision at all times. Certification in first-aid and CPR is also recommended. Horseback Riding Instructors are trained, evaluated, and qualified by the Horsemanship Director prior to the campers' arrival.

EQUESTRIAN ACTIVITIES: Horseback Riding instruction in English & Western styles from beginner to advanced levels, trail rides, horse jumping, intracamp horse shows, intercamp horse shows, evening trail rides, horseback overnights, horse-care instruction, and petting zoo (miniature horse, goats, calf, bunnies, etc).

SEEKING ADVENTURE & WILDERNESS STAFF: We are seeking highly-motivated individuals who are suitably qualified to teach children of all ages the fundamental skills required at a high & low ropes course. The Adventure & Wilderness Director is ACCT certified (or equivalent) and has documented experience managing a challenging ropes course program, including supervising staff; organizing classes at the climbing tower, zip line, and low ropes course stations; maintaining the safety standards at the facility; and caring for the equipment. Instructors are ACCT certified (or equivalent) and lead the ropes course activities by providing instruction at the appropriate skill level of each camper. Certification in first-aid and CPR is also recommended. All Ropes Course Staff are trained, evaluated, and qualified by our Adventure & Wilderness Director prior to the camper's arrival.

ADVENTURE & WILDERNESS ACTIVITIES: High and low ropes course, rock climbing, rappelling, zip line, ATV Honda quad riding, mountain biking, nature hikes, compass reading, cabin cookouts, overnight camping, petting zoo, backpacking trips, canoe/rafting trips, survival clinics, and more.

SEEKING TRAPEZE & CIRCUS STAFF: We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are suitably qualified to teach children of all ages the fundamental skills required at our high-flying and low-flying trapeze. This includes instruction in silk, spanish web, and cradle. The Flying Trapeze Director and Circus Director is a professionally trained circus performer with experience in operating an instructional trapeze/circus program for children. The Trapeze Staff provides instruction under the guidance of the Flying Trapeze Director at five positions, including the Low Practice Bar Spotter, Ladder Spotter, Pedestal Spotter, Pedestal Assistant, and Ground Spotter. All Trapeze Instructors are trained, evaluated, and qualified by our Flying Trapeze Director. The Circus Instructors provide instruction under the guidance of the Circus Director and teach various circus acts to children of all ages and abilities.

TRAPEZE & CIRCUS ACTIVITIES: High-flying trapeze, 2 low-flying single trapeze rigs, spanish web, silk, cradle, trapeze performances, intercamp trapeze competitions, and circus acts including diabolo, juggling, plate spinning, devil sticks, unicycling, acrobatics, clowning, rolling globe, and stilt walking.

SEEKING MEDIA ARTS STAFF: We are seeking talented creative individuals who can provide quality instruction from beginner to advanced levels in the media arts. Instruction is patient and thorough, and geared to the camper's individual skill level. Instructors have documented experience in their specialty area, and possess the ability to teach children of all ages. MEDIA

ARTS ACTIVITIES: Radio DJ broadcasting, music DJ, video camera filming, photography, and camp newspaper.

SEEKING SUPERVISORY STAFF: Camp Cayuga is actively supervised by the Camp Directors and over 40 Senior Staff members, who are professional educators, school teachers, coaches, guidance counselors, and the like. We are seeking mature individuals to fulfill various supervisory and directorship positions including: Division Directors, Head Counselors, Program Directors, Athletic Directors, Tennis Director (USTA pro), Intercamp Tournament Directors, Trip Directors, Evening Entertainment Directors, Special Event Directors, Activity Supervisors, Horsemanship Director, Pool Directors, Lake Director, Adventure & Wilderness Director, Flying Trapeze Director, Circus Director, Creative Arts Directors, Performing Arts Director, Health Supervisor & Medical Staff, Maintenance Director, Transportation Director, Food Service Manager and Chefs, and Office Personnel.

SEEKING NURSES, EMTs, PHYSICIANS, MEDICAL ASSISTANTS: We are seeking licensed professionals who are suitably qualified to monitor and care for the health and well-being of our campers and staff members. In the past our medical staff have included nursing students, RNs, NPs, PAs, LPNs, EMTs, and MDs, all of whom had experience with children and young adults in the areas of health and medical emergencies. Our medical staff respond to campers with sensitivity, and have the ability to enjoy working with them daily. Each campus (Junior Campus and Teen Campus) features its own infirmary & health center. The Health Centers are staffed 24 hours a day and are equipped to provide first-aid and minor treatment. "Sick Call" takes place at the infirmary after each meal and again at bedtime. 4-week and 8-week positions available.

MEDICAL STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide medical, health, educational and professional guidance to both campers and the camp staff; Maintain a healthy camp population by promoting and stressing good health habits; Prevent incidence and spread of disease, and alleviate accidents by promoting and enforcing the camp's safety and health policies; Provide an active presence in the camp community and interact with campers; Supervise sanitation and safety practices throughout the camp; Write quality reports and maintain accurate records of all injuries, illnesses, medications administered, and treatments rendered; Assist in the 24-hour supervision of the Infirmary/Health Center; and possess a good sense of humor!

SEEKING ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF: We are seeking experienced Administrative Staff to assist in the following areas: telephone answering; mailings; data entry into computer; website design; computer specialist; record keeping, filing, copying, and other general office and administrative duties. The main office on Junior Campus is staffed with 5-8 enthusiastic individuals who work on a rotation basis for the office to remain open 16 hours daily.

SEEKING SUPPORT STAFF POSITIONS: We are seeking mature individuals who have the experience, expertise, and qualifications to assumer the following positions: Academic/ESL Tutors, Canteen Supervisor (camp store), Camp Photographer, Food Service Director, Chefs, Dining Hall Manager, Maintenance Director, Transportation Director, Mechanic, CDL Drivers, and Bus Drivers.

SEEKING FOOD SERVICE STAFF: We are seeking food service professionals who have experience and expertise in quantity food production, and the qualifications to fulfill the following positions: Food Service Director, Kitchen Staff Manager First Chef, and Second Cooks. The Food Service Manager is responsible for the overall kitchen and dining hall operations. This includes maintaining & controlling inventories; ordering food/beverages; following camp menu and meal planners; managing chefs, cooks, and kitchen crew; kitchen/dining hall cleanliness; and preparation, serving, and storage of all food items. The chefs are experienced in quantity food production, and are responsible for maintaining a high quality food service as per the menu provided. Chefs also provide special meals for those with dietary restrictions (vegetarians, gluton-free, lactose intolerant), as well as assist in managing the kitchen crew. The Cooks are responsible for preparing meals; stocking the steam tables; portion control; maintaining organized coolers, freezers, and food storage areas; and dining hall/kitchen security.

SEEKING PAINTBALL INSTRUCTORS: We are seeking energetic individuals who can provide quality instruction in paintball from beginner to advanced levels. Instruction is geared to the camper's individual skill level, and is patient and thorough with due regard for both safety and enjoyment. The Paintball Instructors fulfill the roles of team coaches & game referees, and assist planning strategies and developing teamwork, to promote good sportsmanship & camaraderie among our campers. The Paintball Instructors enforce the same safety guidelines set forth by Commercial Paintball Areas, and are trained, evaluated, and qualified by Cayuga's Program Director prior to the campers' arrival. SEEKING SKATE PARK INSTRUCTORS: We are seeking fun, enthusiastic, experienced skaters who are capable of providing quality instruction in skateboarding and inline skating on all levels of ability. Instruction is geared to the camper's individual skill level, and is patient and thorough with due regard for both safety and enjoyment. Instructors teach the basic fundamentals of skateboarding and Inline skating to beginners, and help advanced skates sharpen their skills by teaching them new tricks! Skate Park Instructors are trained, evaluated, and qualified by Cayuga's Program Director prior to the campers' arrival.

Camp Cayuga is a coed nonsectarian sleepaway camp located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of northeast Pennsylvania. Family owned and operated since 1963, Cayuga caters to normal average children of the ages 6 to 16.

We are seeking individuals with high moral character, who exhibit good sportsmanship, strong loyalty, honesty, and the ability to work hard to ensure a positive camp experience for our campers! Each camper is under the close care and direct supervision of at least 2 cabin counselors. Our senior staff are professional educators, teachers, nurses, and coaches. The staff/camper ratio is 1 to 4. All staff attend a one-week orientation for qualifying and training prior to the campers' arrival.
