Job Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old and have completed one year of college. You must have emotional maturity, good moral character and integrity, be flexible and cooperative. Requires strong leadership and organizational skills. You should enjoy a camp environment, be friendly, caring, kind, outgoing, like children and be lots of fun!
Camp Shane runs two specialized camps for overweight children in the Catskill Mountains of New York and in Mayer, Arizona. The objectives of the camp are for the campers to lose weight, learn new skills, gain self-esteem and have fun. Since Camp Shane is a weight reducing camp, it provides an extra dimension of reward for staff. In the camp environment there is no name calling or fierce competition and campers are eager to learn new skills. They develop a tremendous sense of accomplishment and pride as they learn and the relaxed friendly atmosphere at camp fosters strong lasting friendships develop between campers and staff. Room, board and laundry are included and college credit may be available.
