Camp Skylemar is a well-established (since 1948) recreational summer camp, located in the Lakes Region of southern Maine. Located on a 200 acre wooded campsite overlooking the White Mountains and a beautiful spring-fed lake, Skylemar offers a nurturing atmosphere with an emphasis on FUN.We seek counselors to teach athletics (basketball, tennis, lacrosse, baseball, hockey, golf, soccer, hiking, ropes course, archery, swimming, sailing, football, ultimate frisbee, water-skiing, wakeboarding, kayaking, canoeing), as well as campcraft and outdoor education. Counselors also needed for non-athletic activities like arts & crafts, woodworking, dramatics, music, tutoring, mad science, photography, video, and music.
Must be fun, dynamic, responsible role-models who enjoy working with children.
You will receive a salary of $1900 and up for the 8 week season, depending on skills and experience. We also cover room, board, travel expenses, staff shirts, and laundry service. Internship credit available.
Position runs mid June through mid August.
