Tennis Director/Coach at a Summer Camp in NH

Sunapee Region - Wilmot, NH, United States

Job Description:

- Working as one of Camp's Tennis Director, you will provide instruction to boys and girls, aged from 7 to 15 (from Monday to Friday).
- On evenings and weekends you will assist with Camp's evening activities and special events.
- The upkeep and maintenance of the (clay) courts is also part of the job.
- Accommodations will be in cabins.
- 5 days off and most of your nights will be free (3 hours approx).
- Dates of employment are June 11th to August 12th (9 weeks).
- 2 weeks of staff training and 7 weeks working with children.
- Room, board, laundry and internet access is included.
- Salary is $2500 and up based on experience.


ABOUT CAMPS KENWOOD & EVERGREEN

Just two hours from Boston, the Camp is a summer home to a vibrant and welcoming community of over 300 children and 180 staff from all over the world. Here you will act as the following for 7 weeks: parent, coach, mentor, role model, and friend.

We can provide an AMAZING Camp experience for dynamic individuals who love a challenge. This position also provides the perfect experience and resume builder for anyone who wants to pursue a career working with children. The experience can also be used as an internship or for college credits where applicable.

Job Requirements:

Essential:

An enthusiastic, motivated individual.
The knowledge and ability to explain and demonstrate tennis fundamentals and techniques through drills and games.
The ability to communicate, with patience and clarity, with children and co-workers.
Experience in managing other coaches in order for the program to run to its greatest potential
21+ years of age.


Preferred:

1.) Experience of working with children
2.) Experience of teaching tennis
3.) Tennis certification
4.) Management experience
