Job Description:

General Counselors are involved in a full range of activities with small subgroups of 4-9 campers as part of larger groups of 16-36, led by a teaching professional.


One of the nations oldest and finest camps, Mohawk is located on a beautiful 40 acre facility in White Plains, New York with eight pools and a full range of athletic and creative activities from Tennis and Archery to Woodworking and Jewelry Making.


As a Day Camp, Mohawk does not have staff housing, so counselors applying must either be involved in transporting campers as bus counselors, or have a means of getting to camp. While we transport counselors from Manhattan, Westchester and Connecticut, we are unable to transport staff from other city boroughs.

Mohawk Day Camp seeks outstanding COLLEGE & GRADUATE STUDENTS from WESTCHESTER, MANHATTAN and SOUTHERN CONNECTICUT to join our summer staff. We work hard every year to identify and hire the best General Counselors, Lifeguards and Activity Specialists to work with campers ages 3-12.
