Summer Camp - Drama Director

Job Description:

Would you like to spend your summer on a beautiful lake in NH, meeting incredible people and being part of a life-changing experience for kids?

- Working as Camp’s Drama Director, you will tailor a show/musical. That is suitable for all ages
- Organizing of rehearsals and scheduling times to provide enough rehearsals to ready to perform with 4 weeks of the campers arriving at camp.
- The job includes the designing of a set and choosing of costumes and dialogue.
- The Drama Teacher will collaborate with an accompanist, who will typically play the piano.
- The organization of the theater area and costume room is also part of the job.
- Accommodations will be in cabins.
- 5 days off and most of your nights will be free (3 hours approx).
- Dates of employment are June 16th to August 19th (9 weeks).
- 2 weeks of staff training and 7 weeks working with children.
- Room, board, laundry and internet access is included.
- Staff sports, trips, games and movie nights are all available in your free evenings.
- Salary is based upon age and experience.


Just two hours from Boston, the Camp is a summer home to a vibrant and welcoming community of over 300 children and 170 staff from all over the world. Here you will act as the following for 7 weeks: parent, coach, mentor, role model, and friend.

Job Requirements:


An enthusiastic, motivated individual.
The knowledge and ability to explain, organize and Direct three theatrical productions to children aged 8-15.
The ability to communicate, with patience and clarity, with children and co-workers.
20+ years of age.
Experience of theatrical productions and performing arts.


1.) Experience of working with children
2.) Experience of organizing theatrical productions that include music, singing, costumes and choreography.
3.) Performing Arts or Theatrical Education and Certification
