Job Description:

Pick up any garbage that is on the ground and put in a garbage can. Empty all garbage cans in the parks into the dumpster. Place can liners in garbage cans around all picnic shelters. Check for wasp, bee or hornet nests at all park facilities, especially playgrounds. Check your permit book daily to ensure park facilities are clean for daily bookings. Dial 911 first when dealing with an emergency. Be sure to give your exact location. Assist people who are renting park facilities when needed. Always have your cell phone on and in your possession when on duty. Assist the Recreation Department with all special events during the summer including movies, concerts, plays and the Carnival in the Park. Check bathroom conditions at all facilities, stock when needed. Check daily that all facilities are properly locked. Refer to the Park Ranger job description for more detailed information. 25 - 35 hours/week $7.15-$12.00/hr

Job Requirements:

Requires possession of a valid driver’s license. Must be available on evenings and weekends.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Prefers a minimum of 1-2 years experience in related field.
