Job Description:

We are seeking highly-motivated individuals who are suitably qualified to teach children of all ages the fundamental skills required at a high & low ropes course. The Adventure & Wilderness Director is ACCT certified (or equivalent) and has documented experience managing a challenging ropes course program, including supervising staff; organizing classes at the climbing tower, zip line, and low ropes course stations; maintaining the safety standards at the facility; and caring for the equipment.

Instructors are ACCT certified (or equivalent) and lead the ropes course activities by providing instruction at the appropriate skill level of each camper. Certification in first-aid and CPR is also recommended. All Ropes Course Staff are trained, evaluated, and qualified by our Adventure & Wilderness Director prior to the camper's arrival.

ADVENTURE & WILDERNESS ACTIVITIES: High and low ropes course, rock climbing, rappelling, zip line, ATV Honda quad riding, mountain biking, nature hikes, compass reading, cabin cookouts, overnight camping, petting zoo, backpacking trips, canoe/rafting trips, survival clinics, and more.

ADVENTURE & WILDERNESS FACILITIES: High and low adventure ropes course with 6 stations including spider web, tension traverse, port hole, fidget ladder, 32ft climbing tower, and 205ft long zip line; ATV 4-wheeler quad track; Mountain bike trails; Cabin cookout sites; and Overnight camping sites. Job Requirements:

Camp Cayuga is a coed nonsectarian sleepaway camp located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of northeast Pennsylvania. Family owned and operated since 1963, Cayuga caters to normal average children of the ages 6 to 16.

We are seeking individuals with high moral character, who exhibit good sportsmanship, strong loyalty, honesty, and the ability to work hard to ensure a positive camp experience for our campers! If you consider yourself a good role model and have a genuine interest in working with children, we encourage you to apply. Our staff members have fun at Cayuga because they possess a good sense of humor, an outgoing personality, and good leadership abilities.

Our success is directly related to the quality of our staff, who are dedicated to providing a safe, fun and nurturing environment for our campers. Each camper is under the close care and direct supervision of at least 2 cabin counselors. Our senior staff are professional educators, teachers, nurses, and coaches. The staff/camper ratio is 1 to 4. All staff attend a one-week orientation for qualifying and training prior to the campers' arrival.
