Job Description:

The Theater Director is directly responsible for the theater program at camp. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, directing three camper productions over the course of the summer, assisting with camp-run evening activities, and overseeing all stage use.

Job Requirements:

  • Leadership Qualities: Able to oversee and work with a staff consisting of a choreographer, sound and lighting technician, and set designer.
  • Theater experience: Able to teach campers age 6-16 about all aspects of theater production.
  • Time Management Qualities: Able to plan and execute three camper productions as well as several talent shows and various other camp produced evening activities.
  • Organized: maintaining an organized stage, studio and costume shed.
  • Creative: Bringing new ideas and ways to incorporate campers into a diversified theater program.
