Chef/Sous Chef/ Assitant Head of kitchen (Summer Position)

Job Description:

Work in summer camp kitchen with dynamic menu and staff which feeds 250 campers & staff each meal, 3 meals a day. Kitchen staff numbers 10 in all. Most are college students from around the world. Meals are served family style. Open, friendly atmosphere. High return rate of staff.

Staff hail form all over the US and a number of other countries. Camp offers campers and staff unusual levels fo freedom, autonomy and responsibility. Activities include archery, horse back riding, tennis theatre arts, arts & crafts, sailing swimming, competitive diving, canoeing, kayaking, and more, High return rate for staff and campers.

Job Requirements:

Candidate should have kitchen / culinary experience, or have graduated from a culinary arts institution and have experience producing non-vegetarian and vegetarian meals. Baking skills also desired. Should be comfortable serving family style meals for 250 people, as well as for small groups. Also must work well in a team setting.

Job runs approximately Mid-June to third week in August.
