Each summer we hire over 400 staff members to assume the positions of: activity sports instructors, counselors, division directors, medical personnel, head counselors, maintenance staff, food service staff, directors of horsemanship, waterfront, athletics, creative arts, flying trapeze, USTA tennis, drama, wilderness & adventure, special events, academic tutoring, elective activity program, evening program, trips and intercamp tournaments.

Although many of our staff members return year after year, each summer we hire a number of individuals who will be spending their first summer at Camp Cayuga.  Traditionally, our counselors have been fine caliber individuals who are attending fine colleges and universities throughout the United States and Europe. Our senior staff members are typically professional educators, guidance counselors, and coaches.

Job Application Instructions:

To apply for a position at Camp Cayuga, complete the online staff application form and be sure to list as much information as possible.  You can also apply by calling our New Jersey business office at 908-470-1224 and requesting a staff application packet.   We'll be happy to mail you an application, but please be aware that this method of application takes a little longer. Finally, you can also fax your application and/or resume to our New Jersey business office at 908-470-1228.  This method of applying is also acceptable.

INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
If you're an international applicant (not a United States citizen), please note that you must have a valid working visa, valid green card, or valid j-1 visa.  If you do not have one of the above, we cannot accept your application.  The j-1 visa can be obtained through such organizations as Camp America or Camp Counselors USA. If you are a Canadian citizen, and would like to apply for a position with Camp Cayuga, you will need a j-1 visa.  The easiest way to do this is to contact an agency titled Bunac, and ask about their can-camp program. STAFF ORIENTATION
In an effort to acquaint our staff with the camp's facilities and other staff members, we schedule a seven day counselor orientation period prior to the beginning of the camp's summer season.  During staff orientation we hold training sessions and group workshops; review policies and procedures; and sponsor social events for our staff members.  In the past, our orientation period has produced a close knit staff, confident of their skills and ready for the arrival of our campers!
