Job Description
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 47th Force Support Squadron, located at Outdoor Recreation, Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Texas. This position is Flexible, guaranteed a minimum of 0 hours but can work up to a maximum of 40 hours per week. May include nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits. This position is a Not To Exceed position. It is not to exceed 30-Sep-2025.

An applicant's eligibility will be determined based on eligibility claimed in the questionnaire and proof of eligibility MUST be provided with application by the closing date, 04/30/2025 Business Based Action, Military Spouse Preference, Outside Applicant Veteran, and Transition Hiring Preference In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must possess a current and valid nationally recognized lifeguard certification covering lifesaving and water rescue methods, skills and procedures. Must possess current and valid nationally recognized basic first aid and CPR certifications, CPR certification must include adult, child and infant procedures. WSI certification is desired, but not required. All certifications must remain current during the period of employment. Limited knowledge of swimming facility rules, work procedures, equipment and materials to perform standing and recurring tasks is needed. Some physical exertion is required in effecting a swimming rescue, must be able to lift 45 lbs and over. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and some cash register experience is preferred but not necessary. Satisfactory completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries is required.
