Job Description Job Description Lifeguard Montclair Golf Club is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our Aquatics Team Reporting to the Aquatics Director, lifeguards maintain safe conditions in the pool, on deck and in the surrounding areas, and create a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes member safety and engagement in accordance with MGC policies and procedures. Essential Functions: Actively apply and enforce all pool rules, and proactively address members to maintain a safe environment. Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area. This includes using elevated lifeguard stands or standing at the edge of the pool, actively looking at swimmers and the water, staying alert and constantly scanning their zone of coverage. Ensuring proper rotations. Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and respond to emergency situations, including water rescue, immediately and in accordance with emergency action plan, and provide first aid care when needed. Attend all staff meetings and trainings as required. Maintains effective positive relationships with members and staff. Requirements: Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate Able to maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
