Here’s how this job plays a role: As an Instructor you will spend your days outside while inspiring the next generation of cyclists. You don’t have to be a bike expert because we provide training for our programs for you to get going in your new role LOCATIONS & WORK DATES: West Hollywood- Laurel Span School (June 16-August 8) Pasadena 1- San Marino Community Church (June 9-August 1) Pasadena 2- Arcadia Community Church (June 9- June 27 / July 21 - August 1) Manhattan Beach- Manhattan Beach Middle School (June 16-August 8) Manhattan Beach- American Martyers School (June 9- July 4 / July 21- August 1) Palos Verdes- Lunda Bay Elementary (June 16- August 8) Santa Monica- California Heritage Museum (June 16-August 8) Culver City- TBD (June 16- August 8) Brentwood- Saint Sebastian School (June 16-August 8) Calabasas- AE Wright Middle School (June 16- July 11 Encino- TBD (June 16-August 8) Los Feliz- Our Mother of Good Counsel School (June 16-July 11) Costa Mesa/ Irvine- First United Church of Costa Mesa (June 16-August 1) Laguna Woods- Laguna Country Methodist Church (June 16-August 1) Long Beach- Rancho Los Alamitos (June 16-July 4 / July 21- August1) WAGE: Los Angeles: $17.28 /hour Hollywood: $19.65 /hour Pasadena: $17.50 /hour What you’d be responsible for In addition to sharing your ideas on how we can grow, learn and build, in this role, you’ll also be: Teaching our daily Pedalheads camp programs for children ages 2-12 years Actively introduce children new bike skills Ensure the health and safety of children at camp Act as a positive role model and leader at all times Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress Skills, knowledge and experience Here are some of the skills / specifics that are important for this role: You will be at least 16 years of age by the start of camp Comfortable leading a group of up to 6 children (training provided) Committed to keeping our campers safe You are energetic, creative, motivated and fun Hold or willing to get a current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificate Criminal record check required for ages 18 You have access to a bike and helmet and can ride a bike proficiently Why you’ll love working at Pedalheads: You will: Gain leadership experience and growth opportunities that develop you for any future career (bonus: get a reference letter) Work with people in a fun, team environment where peer friendships often last a lifetime No experience necessary We provide all your training, and we pay you for it too Work daytime hours outdoors with no weekend work (work in sunglasses and comfy attire) Inspire kids to believe in themselves.
