Aquatics Director - Summer Swim Program (July & August 2025

Job Description Job Description The Nurtury of Rye Brook is a vibrant and nurturing summer program dedicated to providing children with a safe, fun, and enriching experience. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Aquatics Director to lead our comprehensive swim program for the 2025 summer season and beyond. We are looking for a highly motivated and responsible Aquatics Director to manage and oversee all aspects of our summer swim program. This position requires a strong leader with excellent communication and organizational skills, a passion for water safety, and the ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment for children of all ages and skill levels. Schedule: Dates: July 1, 2025 - August 31, 2025 Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday On-Site Responsibilities Program development : Create and manage swim lesson programs, water safety programs, and other aquatic activities Staff management : Recruit, hire, train, and supervise lifeguards, swim instructors, and other staff Safety : Ensure adequate lifeguard coverage, conduct safety drills, and meet safety standards Budgeting : Create and manage budgets, and follow budgeting policies and procedures Marketing : Promote aquatic programs, events, and exercise in the community C ustomer service : Respond to inquiries and complaints from members and the community Qualifications: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in aquatics management and swim instruction. Current Lifeguard, Water Safety Instructor (WSI), and CPR/AED certifications. Strong knowledge of water safety principles and best practices. Passion for swimming and water safety Detail-oriented and organized Able to plan activities and schedules in advance Flexible and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously Innovative and creative Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with children of all ages and abilities. Proven leadership and supervisory experience. Ability to pass a background check. First Aid certification. Experience with pool maintenance.
