Camp Director

Job Description Job Description The Camp Director is a year-round position responsible for planning, leading, and overseeing a residential youth development summer program at Kiddie Keep Well Camp. The Camp Director will work to create a safe, inclusive, and healthy community environment where all campers can discover and develop their best selves. The Camp Director will manage approximately 350 participants and 40 seasonal staff each summer. The role also involves ensuring adherence to American Camp Association and KKWC program regulations, risk management, and emergency response for all camp programs This is a live in positon while camp is in session with possible housing year round. Extensive experience and education in youth development, with demonstrated expertise in working with youth and supervising staff. Certification in First Aid and CPR, or willingness to complete training. Certified Pool Management and Certified Pool Operators course must be obtained fully paid by KKWC Strong alignment with the organization’s mission and values, demonstrating integrity, dependability, and accountability. Ability to interact effectively with individuals and groups, respecting social and cultural diversity. Passion for working with youth, creating inclusive spaces, and encouraging exploration and growth. Full participation in camp community activities, including staff training and camp sessions. Capacity to maintain emotional, mental, and social resilience in a fast-paced, interactive environment. Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
