Job Description Job Description The Arc of South Florida provides educational and therapeutic services in center-based settings to children with developmental delays and disabilities. We are currently seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join our team of highly skilled therapists. If you are looking for an opportunity for personal and professional growth, an engaging work environment, and the chance to make a difference in the lives of children and families, we would be delighted to hear from you Additional details Warm, collaborative team atmosphere Competitive compensation Contract position Flexible schedule Location open Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Your hours are flexible) Skills Previous work experience as a pediatric Speech and Language Therapist Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy Experience using electronic records management Familiarity with assessment tools and ability to perform quality evaluations Ability to work constructively with children with different types of personalities and diagnoses in order to facilitate each child’s highest level of function Takes initiative to remain current in clinical practice and demonstrates drive to continually learn and grow in the profession Maintains professional demeanor and is responsible for quality care in interactions with patients and family members Excellent interpersonal communication skills (English and Spanish preferred) Qualifications/Requirements Valid Florida license to practice Speech and Language Therapy Current Medicaid number Enroll as an Early Steps provider Carry professional liability insurance of $1M-$3M and obtain a COI (coverage of insurance) and add The Arc of South Florida and Easter Seals as additional insurance.
