Job Description Job Description Now Hiring: Contract Swim Instructors Location: Brunswick, GA Surrounding Areas Type: Contract (Set Your Own Schedule) About the Role: Georgia Swim School is looking for passionate, reliable, and safety-conscious Contract Swim Instructors to join our team. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, meaning you work under our brand but maintain control of your schedule and how many lessons you take on. All lessons are mobile and one-on-one, and you’ll be working directly with families across Glynn County, Camden County, Jesup, Pooler, Valdosta, and surrounding areas. What You’ll Do: • Contact your assigned participants and schedule lessons directly • Provide engaging, one-on-one swim instruction to children and/or adults • Communicate clearly and consistently with parents and students • Arrive on time with all necessary materials and a positive attitude • Teach water safety, basic to advanced swim skills, and foster confidence in the water • Stay organized with virtual payments, attendance tracking, and time card submission • Maintain a calm and professional presence during lessons • Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow safety protocols What You Need: • Reliable transportation • Strong communication and people skills (with both kids and adults) • Ability to self-manage your time, schedule, and follow-ups • A clear understanding of swim instruction and water safety • Organizational skills—you’ll be managing your own clients, payments, and time • CPR/First Aid or Lifeguard certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain one) • A heart for helping others learn and stay safe around water Why Join Us: • Flexible hours – you decide when and how much you want to work • Supportive team and guidance from Georgia Swim School • Meaningful work that changes lives through swim education • Training resources available if you’re newer to teaching This is perfect for: College students, educators, retired professionals, or anyone with a strong swim background looking to earn extra income while doing meaningful work in their community.
