Engineering Internship

Job Description Job Description Established in 1839, Schaeffer has over 300 products, mostly oils and greases, sold in all 50 states and 17 foreign countries. Obtaining an internship within a manufacturing company such as Schaeffer allows you to see firsthand how the various career disciplines such as accounting, marketing, human resources, fulfillment, production, and new product development interact and support one another. Internship Purpose and Department Improve your Engineering skills as you work closely with the VP of Strategic Expansion and Product Technology. You will be given the opportunity to work on the plant expansion project within the Technical Department . If your school provides credit for internships, we will be happy to work with them to determine if the project(s) outlined below will qualify for their program. Qualifications and Pre-Requisites Students currently enrolled in a B.S., B.A., or Masters degree program in Chemical Engineering, or Engineering of any type, and who will have not yet graduated by the time of the internship. Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, teamwork, and time management skills are essential. Knowledge/pre-requisites: Engineering Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Assignment/Tasks/Responsibilities Assist in the plant expansion project. Attend internal departmental meetings and external contact meetings (where appropriate). Follow safety protocols. Other tasks to further department development. Associate Engagement Events Schaeffer regularly hosts events inside and outside of work that are fun and engaging, some for associates only, and others that include the family. While employed by Schaeffer, Interns are invited to participate in our summer catered meals and company picnic.
