Job Description Job Description Now Hiring: Field Instructor – Gulf Coast Academy (Florida Charter Middle School) Location: Spring Hill, FL | Position Type: Full-Time About Us: Gulf Coast Academy is a unique Florida public charter middle school where learning goes beyond the classroom. Every regular school day, all year long, small student groups venture into the community for hands-on field experiences tied directly to the core curriculum. These activities promote physical education, teamwork, creativity, and character development , while enriching academic instruction. Position Overview: We’re looking for an energetic, passionate individual to join our team as a Field Instructor . This is not your average teaching job—it’s a physically and mentally demanding role that requires creativity, stamina, adaptability, and a deep commitment to student engagement and experiential learning. Key Responsibilities: Lead students (ages 11–15) on daily curriculum-based field trips. Facilitate learning experiences that integrate science, language arts, math, technology, and social studies . Encourage physical activity, team-building, and personal growth. Ensure student safety while managing dynamic group environments. Qualifications: Enthusiastic communicator with strong presentation and public speaking skills . Ability to build rapport with middle school students. Education beyond high school preferred. Flexible, hard-working, with a sense of humor and a love of learning . Summer camp counselor or youth leadership experience is a strong plus. Must be 21 years or older to qualify for the required CDL license.
