Job Description Job Description Description: The Town of Wrightsville Beach is accepting applications for Ocean Rescue Lifeguards, 2025 season. The starting pay is $19.50 per hour with additional compensation for having your NC EMT Certification . Applicants should meet the following requirements: • Valid driver’s license • Ability to swim 500 meters in 10 minutes, or less. • At least 18 years of age or older. Try out dates and times: Sunday, April 27 @ 8:30am Saturday, May 3 @ 8:30am Tryout location: 703 S Lumina Ave, Wrightsville Beach, NC (Crystal Pier) Requirements: The pre-test will consist of the following skills: -½ mile ocean swim, followed by a one-mile soft sand run, then two rescues. One will be an active victim the other a passive victim. Applicants will work approximately 46 hours per week with a start date of May 12, 2025. Mandatory drug test and physical is required prior to the start date. Apply through Indeed by submitting your application and resume.
