Position Overview The Client Advisory Services (CAS) CAS II is a senior accounting role responsible for the full cycle of accounting for a portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will maintain records of financial transactions by posting transactions; reconciling accounts; monitoring AR and AP functions and reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and timely and accurate financial reporting. The candidate will be responsible for a variety of functions, including administering various accounting tech stack, liaising with client intermediaries, and working with CAS Supervisors and Controllers to provide excellent accounting advisory services to clients across a variety of industries. A successful candidate can expect to: Perform all work according to the firm's methods, policies and procedures Balance and maintain accurate ledgers, reconcile with general ledger Download accounting transactions for integration with multiple systems for accounting and reconciliation Pay vendor invoices, or aid client employees performing this function Invoicing and collection of accounts receivable Process payroll or provide oversight to client employees performing this function Provide accounting software support to clients and client staff Provide accounting assistance to clients and client staff Prepare accounting work papers, including trial balances and depreciation schedules Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end payroll reporting Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting Prepare accounting workpapers, including trial balances, prepaid and fixed asset, and depreciation schedules Prepare 1099's for clients Some preparation of sales and use tax returns and related business tax returns possible Preparation of annual business license and business personal property tax filings Perform other duties assigned by the firm's professional staff Minimum requirements: BA/BS in Accounting. 5-7 yrs of relevant accounting exp. Strong proficiency with QuickBooks Online, MS Excel, Microsoft Office and Bill.com Strong knowledge of GAAP Proficiency with other accounting software platforms, such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite is preferred. Other Skills / Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations with many clients Skilled using various accounting software and experience in troubleshooting common accounting program problems Personal integrity when working with personal and sensitive financial information Professional experience in financial forecasting and risk analysis Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasional non-local travel may be required no more than 5-10% of the year, depending on your client base. Occasional lifting of boxes and/or paperwork up to 25 pounds.
