As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our manufacturing processes, we are offering a dynamic internship opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual. https://www.wonderfulpistachiosandalmonds.com/ourdifference Job Description Position Summary: This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and contribute to a key project focused on process improvement within the department. This position will be based onsite at Wonderful Pistachios and Almonds located in Lost Hills, CA. This summer internship is a 6 to 10-week program. Duties and Responsibilities Be knowledgeable and demonstrate proficiency in Problem Solving skills. Prepare layouts, drawings, or sketches of machinery or equipment, such as shop tooling, scale layouts, or new equipment design, using drafting equipment or computer-aided design (CAD) software. Prepare portions of capital projects including project scope and budgeting. Produce details of specifications and outline designs. Work with Operations Team, coordinating with Production Control and Packaging Reliability. Collaborate with team members to validate and refine procedures. Work on a designated project aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with team members to implement and test process improvements. Track and report key performance indicators related to the processes. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be Wonderful Scholar enrolled in the College Success program. Must be 18 years of age. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must be able to work flexible schedules. Eagerness to learn and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Be prepared to work in a manufacturing environment characterized by varying temperatures (hot or cold) and loud machinery. Preferred bilingual in English and Spanish.
