Job Description Job Description Summer Internship Program for Rising Seniors College Students must be available for an in person, full-time 10-week paid internship program June 2 – August 8, 2025. Location: Charlotte, North Carolina CoreVest, a division of Redwood Trust, Inc. (NYSE: RWT), is the leading private lender to residential and commercial real estate investors nationwide. We provide long-term loans for rental properties and short-term financing for value-add acquisitions and fix/flip projects. For more information, visit www.corevestfinance.com. The Capital Markets Intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including conducting detailed financial analysis on real estate transactions. This includes whole loan and securities trades, new investments into unique loan products, supporting secured borrowings from existing credit facilities and securitizations, assisting with new transactions and projects, loan level due diligence, supporting financial and management reporting, as well as ad hoc data analysis. The goal at the completion of the summer is to gain a working knowledge of the capital flows within the lending business. You will leave the summer internship with the ability to conduct valuation analysis for both real estate transactions as well as securities trades, along with the understanding of how we finance our operations. The goal of summer internship program is to reward high-performing individuals with an offer to return full-time to CoreVest upon graduation. Essential Functions and Responsibilities : Include the following but not limited to, other duties may be assigned. Rising Senior (Dec 2025 or May 2026 graduation); majoring in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, Engineering or related fields. Basic understanding of discounted cash flow analysis and the three (3) financial statements; especially as they relate to real estate and securities. Basic Excel/financial modelling skills. Analyze financial model output and company information to prioritize data and present conclusions to VP Capital Markets and MD Capital Markets. Ability to conduct comprehensive company, industry, and market research. Provide assistance to senior Capital Markets team members in implementing capital markets initiatives, product positioning, developing new products, expanding distribution channels, executing transaction financings and identifying growth opportunities Support individual borrowing transactions under one or more of the Company’s credit facilities. Support activities related to the Company’s bond issuance that provides permanent financing for its loans backed by real estate. Candidate must possess an entrepreneurial mindset and interest in growing a business. Excellent writing and presentation development skills to produce clean, crisp and accurate documents and reports. Able to work in a fluid environment, providing accurate information often on short timelines Minimum Requirements : The responsibilities listed below are required. Working towards Bachelor’s degree, must be a current junior/rising senior (Dec 2025/May 2026 graduation date) Experience in commercial lending or investment analysis a plus – equity, bond, real estate, single family rental, multifamily, bridge (fix and flip), ground up lending Strong analytical skills with financial modeling experience Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Good Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Working Conditions : Typical office environment with no unusual exposures Uses office equipment/computers/keyboards
