ATTENDANT (SUMMER CAMP)

Join us for the upcoming camp season at St. Peter's Parks and Recreation We're looking for enthusiastic Camp Counselors who will help foster a fun and safe environment for campers. Summary of Position As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for the safety and supervision of campers, assisting with indoor and outdoor activities, and creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere. You'll also provide mentorship and support to campers, making sure their camp experience is memorable and fun. Normal Shift: Before Care: 6:45 AM - 9:00 AM Main Camp: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM After Care: 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM Camp Dates: June 3rd - August 9th Key Responsibilities Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment Follow safety protocols and procedures Maintain open communication with campers and staff Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating respect and enthusiasm Plan and lead sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities Respond appropriately to emergencies and administer first aid as needed Qualifications/Desired Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker. Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Must be able to successfully complete a lifeguard certification course, if assigned to aquatics. Must be at least 16 years of age Desired Qualifications: Prior childcare experience preferred, but not required Ability to plan and organize engaging activities Physical ability to participate in activities and adapt to various situations Strong teamwork skills Special Opportunity: Inclusion Counselors will work with special needs campers and will receive a $1.50 shift premium for their hours as Inclusion Support.
