ATTENDANT (SUMMER CAMP)

Are you passionate about working with kids and creating unforgettable summer experiences? Join us for the upcoming camp season at St. Peter's Parks and Recreation We're looking for enthusiastic Camp Counselors who will help foster a fun and safe environment for campers. Summary of Position As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for the safety and supervision of campers, assisting with indoor and outdoor activities, and creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere. You'll also provide mentorship and support to campers, making sure their camp experience is memorable and fun. Normal Shift: Before Care: 6:45 AM - 9:00 AM Main Camp: 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM After Care: 3:30 PM - 6:00 PM Camp Dates: June 3rd - August 9th Key Responsibilities Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment Follow safety protocols and procedures Maintain open communication with campers and staff Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating respect and enthusiasm Plan and lead sports, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities Respond appropriately to emergencies and administer first aid as needed Qualifications/Desired Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker. Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. Must be able to successfully complete a lifeguard certification course, if assigned to aquatics. Must be at least 16 years of age Desired Qualifications: Prior childcare experience preferred, but not required Ability to plan and organize engaging activities Physical ability to participate in activities and adapt to various situations Strong teamwork skills Special Opportunity: Inclusion Counselors will work with special needs campers and will receive a $1.50 shift premium for their hours as Inclusion Support.
