Location Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111. Job Summary The Special Projects Coordinator, reporting to the Office of the President, leads community engagement and experiential learning initiatives that support Albany State University's strategic priorities, This role fosters meaningful connections with local schools, civic groups, and industry partners while managing key outreach programs and signature campus events. The Coordinator works across departments to implement initiatives that prepare students for college and careers, strengthen ASU's public presence , and advance institutional goals. Sponsorship is not available for this position. This limited term position is funded through Title III sponsored funds. Continuation of employment is based upon availability of funds. Responsibilities * Serve as a liaison between the Office of the President and community stakeholders to support strategic engagement and outreach. * Lead high-impact K-12 outreach initiatives including summer camps, mentorship opportunities, and educational workshops that introduce students to ASU. * Organize and manage university signature events such as homecoming, Founders Day, public lecture series, and other projects aligned with presidential priorities. * Collaborate with faculty and staff to Integrate experiential learning into academic programs and co-curricular activities . * Cultivate and maintain partner ships with schools, nonprofits , local government agencies, and businesses to expand ASUs community impact. * Coordinate experiential learning opportunities including student internships, service projects, and industry partnerships. * Maintain accurate records of all outreach and experiential learning activities, tracking participation, outcomes, and partner engagement. * Provide timely updates and outcome reports to the Office of the President, supporting data-driven decision-making. * Collect and analyze feedback from students, partners, and stakeholders to enhance programs and events. * Serve on college committees and assist with projects such as the Office of the President University Holiday Cards and other projects as assigned by the university president. * Process yearly membership dues, bills received via mail, expense reports, invoices, and other financial documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies for the Office of the President. * Coordinate and schedule events, handling logistics such as food arrangements, travel arrangements for guests, communication and correspondence and other items related to guest arrival. * Create orders for purchases, including food items and office supplies , ensuring timely delivery. * Assist in managing the president's calendar and screening calls to the office of the president. * Maintain and organize physical and electronic files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and easy retrieval . Perform any other related duties as assigned by the university president or higher management. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Public Administration, or a related field. Experience managing special projects, outreach programs, or events in an educational or nonprofit setting. Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills. Ability to engage diverse audiences and maintain strong community relationships. Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting senior leadership or executive-level initiatives. Knowledge of higher education operations, community outreach practices, or public affairs. Success in building partnerships that result in measurable community or educational outcomes. Proposed Salary Salary range is from $44,154 to $49,500.
