Salary: $20.00 Hourly Location : Menasha, WI Job Type: Seasonal Department: Park and Recreation Opening Date: 05/13/2025 Summary of Job Make a Splash This Summer as a Pool Manager! Join the team at Menasha Pool and help lead a safe, fun, and welcoming environment for our community! As a Pool Manager, you'll oversee daily pool operations, supervise staff, help plan special events, and ensure a safe, positive experience for all visitors. You'll work closely with the Parks and Recreation Director and Recreation/Senior Services Manager to keep everything running smoothly-from lifeguard safety to concessions. Position Details: Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) or part-time (20 hours/week) options available Weekend Hours: Some weekend shifts required Minimum Age: 18 years old Certifications: First Aid, CPR, and AED required (or willing to obtain); Lifeguard certification preferred Ready to jump in? Essential Duties and Responsibilities Create daily staff schedules and adjust coverage as needed Mentor and support lifeguards and front desk/concessions staff Maintain pool safety standards and lead emergency procedures if needed Monitor pool areas, guest needs, and resolve any issues Manage concessions, private rentals, and events Keep accurate records of attendance, revenues, incidents, and staff hours Open and close the facility, ensuring security and cleanliness Communicate regularly with leadership and promote Parks & Recreation activities Ideal Candidate: Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Experience with aquatic programs and customer service Ability to adapt to changing situations and problem-solve Passion for mentoring others and building a great team Comfortable in an active, outdoor environment (sun, rain, and everything in between!) Qualifications Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques. An understanding of facility characteristics, rules, policies and procedures Demonstrates a desire to mentor and train fellow staff to achieve a high standard of professionalism and safety Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, and flexible enough to make accommodations for unforeseen events Have excellent communication skills, decision-making skills, and a confident ability to speak with the public and provide good customer service. Willingness to build effective and supportive working relationships with staff and pool patrons A background is aquatic programs such as swim lessons is encouraged Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: First Aid, CPR and AED Certification Current or past WSI and Lifeguard Certification and work experience are beneficial but not required. One year or more of responsible supervisory experience preferred.
