Job Description : As a Site Reliability Engineer – GCP , you’ll be responsible for managing and optimizing our infrastructure in the cloud (Google Cloud), automating key processes, and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems. Your expertise will have a direct impact on how our platforms perform and scale. You'll work cross-functionally with teams across Development, BI, and Security, applying best practices in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI / CD, and systems administration. Key Responsibilities : Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform and GCP services. Develop and optimize CI / CD pipelines with Jenkins. Automate deployment, testing, and operational workflows using scripting (Shell, Groovy, and optionally Python or PowerShell). Manage services within Google Cloud such as Cloud Run, Firebase, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud IAM, Kubernetes (GKE), and BigQuery. Oversee security practices : SSL / TLS certificates, KMS, IAM roles, and Cloud Armor. Administer and optimize UNIX / Linux systems. Troubleshoot system issues and perform root cause analysis. Collaborate with development and data teams to improve platform reliability and automation. Maintain tools like SonarQube, Dependency Track, and Nexus. Requirements : Minimum 3–4 years of experience as an SRE, SysAdmin, or DevOps Engineer in cloud environments. Strong experience with GCP (Cloud Run, Compute Engine, IAM, Firestore, BigQuery, GKE, etc.). Proficiency in Terraform. Advanced Jenkins skills. Scripting skills in Shell and Groovy (required); Python or PowerShell (nice to have). Strong knowledge of Linux / Unix or BSD systems. Knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP / IP, VPCs, route tables, DNS, and firewalls. Experience with SSL / TLS, IAM, and KMS for security. Familiarity with Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL), BigQuery, and Firestore. Experience with tools like SonarQube, Dependency Track, and Nexus. Nice-to-Have Skills : Experience with packaging tools (Maven, npm). Experience in high-traffic web environments. Knowledge of orchestration tools (Ansible, Helm). Programming beyond scripting (e.g., Python). Familiarity with monitoring tools like Stackdriver, Grafana, or Prometheus. Desired Personal Competencies : Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
