Job Description Job Description Key Responsibilities: 1. Staff Supervision and Training: o Hire, train, schedule, and supervise lifeguards, swim instructors, and other aquatic personnel. o Provide continuous training in safety protocols, first aid, CPR, and rescue techniques. o Supervise daily aquatic operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and organized environment for all participants. o Coordinate and schedule swim classes, optimizing class sizes and instructor availability. o Assist in staff training to ensure instructors provide high-quality, effective lessons. o Monitor water quality, pool safety, and cleanliness in accordance with regulatory requirements. 2. Safety and Risk Management: o Ensure the facility operates in compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations. o Implement and enforce safety procedures for all aquatic activities, maintaining a safe environment for both guests and staff. o Conduct daily safety checks and ensure the proper functioning of pool equipment and safety gear. o Respond to emergencies, such as rescues or medical incidents, using the proper emergency protocols. o Lead staff in responding to emergencies quickly and effectively. 3. Sales & Client Generation: § Make a minimum of 50 outbound sales calls per shift to promote our aquatic programs and sign-up new clients. § Close 2-5 sales per shift, contributing to revenue growth and meeting business targets. § Manage leads and follow up via Active Campaign to nurture customer relationships and promote ongoing business. 4. Marketing Strategy: § Collaborate with the Regional Manager to implement outside marketing strategies aimed at increasing brand awareness and attracting new clients. § Participate in community outreach programs and campaigns to build relationships and elevate our brand’s presence. § Track marketing efforts and provide valuable feedback for continuous improvement. 3. Training & Staff Support: o Assist the Regional Manager in onboarding and training new staff members to ensure they are equipped for success and follow MSS programs. o Help teach all training materials provided by MSS and support and coach ongoing professional development for aquatic staff. 4. Brand Awareness & Representation: o Actively promote our brand in the facility and within the community, ensuring consistent messaging aligned with company values. o Represent Marina Swim School in a positive and professional manner during 5. Program Development and Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and promote a variety of aquatic programs, including swimming lessons, water aerobics, and swim meets. Ensure programs are aligned with customer needs and community interests. Maintain records and track participation in aquatic programs. 6. Customer Service: o Provide excellent customer service by addressing patron inquiries, concerns, or complaints in a professional and timely manner. o Maintain a positive and welcoming environment for all facility users. o Manage reservations for pool parties, events, or other special activities. 7. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Science, or a related field (preferred). Current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid (required). At least 2-3 years of experience in an aquatic facility, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role (preferred). Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to emergencies. Knowledge of safety regulations, water chemistry, and pool maintenance. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Physical Requirements: Ability to swim and participate in aquatic activities if needed. Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift up to [insert weight] pounds. Good physical condition and stamina to supervise aquatic activities and respond to emergencies effectively. Working Conditions: Work is performed primarily in an aquatic environment, with potential exposure to water, chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.
