Compliance Intern - 2 Months (Summer Internship)

ROLE OVERVIEW We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our Legal & Compliance team with third-party due diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate compliance within a dynamic, international mining company. KEYS RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in collecting, reviewing, and verifying third-party documentation in accordance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Conduct preliminary due diligence checks on new and existing third parties using internal systems and databases. Monitor and follow up on missing, incomplete, or expired documentation. Support the team in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential compliance issues. Escalate red flags or suspicious findings to senior team members. Contributes to the development and refinement of compliance tools, templates, and process improvements. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Candidate Profile Currently pursuing or recently completing a degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Basic understanding of compliance, due diligence, and KYC principles is an advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
