Job Description

Summer Camp Director We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Summer Camp Director who will plan, coordinate, and oversee the overall camp programme focused on Fashion Art and Design. This is an exciting new role for someone to develop and nurture a sustainable camp for years to come. The director will be responsible for the overall running and organisation of the summer camp, including collecting enrolments, communicating with parents, activity planning, and staff hiring. This role requires someone who can work independently with support from the Global Camps Co-Ordinator and the Head of School. This is a part-time role with increased time commitment before and during the camp. The position will be responsible for the following principal duties and responsibilities: Oversee the development of the camp program and approve all camp activities. Hire, discipline, supervise, and terminate camp staff. Ensure enrolment procedures are correctly followed and all paperwork is in order. Hold regular meetings with the Head of School and Inspired Camp Co-ordinator. Develop camp policies, rules, and guidelines. Plan and research all activities for the camp. Manage the operating budget for the camp. Collaborate with staff on classrooms, facilities, housing, and other universal needs. Schedule classroom, sports, and evening activities, aligning with other providers. Conduct Risk Management training and background checks. Organize and coordinate the campers’ selection process. Handle questions, problems, and concerns of parents/guardians before and during camp. Establish procedures for handling health, behavior, and other issues. Monitor and ensure appropriate student behavior and adherence to camp rules. Work cooperatively with all staff members. Handle emergencies in conjunction with the team. Assess the overall program and implement necessary changes. Complete and oversee all necessary documentation (agreements, schedules, evaluations, etc.). Requirements: English mother tongue or C1 level proficiency. Several years of experience in a responsible position in Education. Deep understanding of the relevant industry. Ability to work collaboratively. Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills. Patient, enthusiastic, self-controlled, and dependable. Teaching and/or coaching leadership qualifications. Ability to set clear expectations and goals. Adaptable teaching style with feedback incorporation. Judgment of learning effectiveness. Excellent planning and preparation skills.
