Job Description Job Description Schedule: Season / On-call, hours vary Momentum is seeking a seasonal / on-call Lifeguard for our new and innovative Adult Day Program (ADP) in Thousand Oaks! The Lifeguard will support and ensure the safety and well-being of participants. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for working with individuals with disabilities, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment. Lifeguard Essential Responsibilities: Assists in the planning and implementation of daily activities and programs suitable for participants Supervises and engages participants during group activities, ensuring safety and promoting positive interactions. Helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment space. Ensures all equipment and materials used in activities are safe and accessible. Lifeguard Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age High School diploma or equivalent; required Prior experience working with adults, particularly those with disabilities or special needs, preferred Lifeguard Certification, required CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification, preferred Successfully pass all post offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, health screening, TB screening and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds A positive, energetic attitude and a genuine desire to support and uplift participants. With 40 programs and service sites spanning several counties, Momentum is the largest nonprofit provider of direct support for individuals with disabilities in Southern California.
