Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District enjoys the quiet rural aspects of small-town America while having proximity to cosmopolitan amenities. The Organization: Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000 residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community. At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes. Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members. Head Swim Instructor: Make a splash as the Head Swim Instructor with Brushy Creek MUD District's Aquatics Team! In this key leadership role, you'll take charge of daily swim lesson operations, mentor a team of instructors, and help shape a positive, safe, and fun learning environment. Under the guidance of the Aquatics Program Manager, you'll lead by example-teaching classes, fostering teamwork, and ensuring the swim program runs smoothly and successfully. Job Duties: Leads by teaching engaging, technique-driven swim lessons across all age groups. Models professionalism in appearance, conduct, and communication-uniform on, attitude positive. Trains, mentors, and evaluates swim instructors in alignment with District program standards. Acts swiftly and confidently in aquatic emergencies, following the District's Emergency Response Plan. Promotes and explain pool safety rules and the "why" behind them to students. Maintains accurate skill assessments and progress reports for each student. Collaborates with the Aquatics Specialist on scheduling, lesson plans, and staffing needs. Serves as a go-to resource for parents-addressing questions and concerns with professionalism. Leads regular in-service training for swim instructors. Performs additional duties as needed to support overall aquatics operations. Minimum Requirement:. Must have an American Red Cross Lifeguarding with First Aid and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer certification. Must have an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification. Schedule: Seasonal position 30-40 hrs weekly from June-August, and 15-20 hrs weekly the rest of the year.
