When working with children, its of the utmost importance that you present a calm, knowing demeanor, and have confidence in any instructions you give. These traits will serve you well in the future, no matter what kind of work you may end up doing. A Path to Full-Time Work : While this may only be a part-time job for you at first, aquatics represents a multi-billion dollar global industry with full-time positions all over the country. STARTING PAY : $9.50-$10.50 REQUIREMENTS : Valid CPR Certification (we connect new staff with a certification course) A love for kids A love for the water, and the ability to swim confidently According to the CDC, drowning is the 1 cause of accidental death among children ages 1-4, and this number only drops to 2 by the age of 14.
