Lifeguard

Job Description Job Description Description: Lifeguards monitor activities in and around our pool facility. You must be alert throughout your shift to ensure members follow all safety rules and precautions and be able to handle confrontations. We also expect you to respond quickly to stop dangerous behavior and/or situations or in the case of an emergency. Candidates must be at least 16 years old, be American Red Cross certified (including CPR and First Aid). Requirements: - Remain alert and keep a watchful eye on all activities that occur in and around the pool - Enforce all safety rules of the facility to prevent accidents - Provide information, instructions, and directions to members who ask for clarification - Respond immediately to medical emergencies or to save someone who needs help in the water - Provide first aid, CPR, or other life-saving care treatments to patrons when required - Identify and communicate any potential health, safety, or accident risks to the Pool Director - Assist with setting up the facility for various club events and activities
