A contracted school nurse position is available to support a male K-12 student for the Extended School Year (ESY) program in Pittsburgh, PA. This opportunity is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Registered Nurse (RN), or Certified School Nurse (CSN) fortable with seizure care and medication administration. This role involves providing 1:1 nursing support while riding the bus with the student, ensuring safety and health needs are met throughout the school day. The nurse will be responsible for managing the students seizure disorder and administering medication if a seizure occurs. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and support the student during the bus ride to and from school Administer medication as needed, particularly during seizure episodes Maintain accurate health records and municate with school staff and parents Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established protocols and individualized health plans Qualifications: Valid LPN, LVN, RN, or CSN licensure Experience working with pediatric patients and seizure management Ability to administer medications and respond calmly during medical emergencies Strong munication skills and reliability for consistent daily attendance Schedule and Location: Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day Pick-up at 7:41 a.m., drop-off at 2:41 p.m. Position available immediately through July 25 (ESY contract) Based in Pittsburgh, PA This role offers a meaningful opportunity to provide specialized health care support in a school setting during the summer program.
