Working in concert with BAI Leadership, the Director of Programming suggests short-, medium-, and long-term programming for the BAI, in keeping with the mission and vision of the BAI, and with an eye to responsiveness to campus needs and schedules. The Director of Programming oversees a Program team, with a focus on the three major programming planks for the BAI: student and faculty-based programming, community/regional programming, and national/international programming. Education and Experience * BA or equivalent combination of education and experience * 5-7 years in arts administration or related experience or combination of education and experience including 5 years in: artistic program production, budgeting and financial management, operations management, supervisory experience * Proven success in producing large-scale artistic productions in a range of disciplines * Knowledge of and experience in a broad range of artistic practice including performing and visual arts * Ability to think strategically, with an eye to long-term planning, coupled with an ability to be flexible as the needs of the BAI continue to evolve * Proven success in budgeting and financial management * Demonstrated ability managing a diverse staff with a broad range of skills sets * Ability to interact with broad range of individuals (faculty, administrators, artists & management, vendors, students) * Ability to deliver programs that meet the mission and standards of the BAI, which can often be in conflict with the competing needs and demands from different constituencies * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Excellent organizational skills * Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines Applicants *must *submit a cover letter and CV/resume.
