Job Description Job Description Lifeguard Pay $15/hour Location: State College, PA Type: Full Time or Part Time - Seasonal Requirements: High School or GED, Current CPR certification, Current Lifeguard certification We are hiring for multiple lifeguards for our State College communities, Vairo Village and Toftrees. M-F 11AM to 7PM. Role & Responsibilities As the Lifeguard your responsibilities will include: Supervise the activities of swimmers by enforcing pool rules and regulations. Maintain constant surveillance of residents/guests; act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of residents/guests in the event of an emergency. Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical personnel. Notify the Community Manager of any accidents, rescues, or problems that arise. Report to the Service Manager any equipment that needs repair. Present professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of customer service. Perform simple tests to determine water quality and document findings. Clean and maintain the pool and related areas/facilities as directed to maintain a clean and safe pool environment. Prepare and maintain appropriate activity reports. Adhere to Lifeguard Handbook SOP and pool rules and regulations About You You might be a great fit for this role if you have: Effective and professional verbal communication skills Attention to detail. Have knowledge of water hazards, lifesaving techniques and first aid, recognize hazardous situations, and adopt effective courses of action. Attentiveness to visual and audible cues for recognition of swimmers in distress or engaging in unsafe behaviors.
