Job Description Job Description Now Hiring: CNC Machine Operator – Herrin, IL Summer Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (currently working this schedule) Fall–Spring Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Pay starts at $16/hr , increases to $16.50/hr at time of permanent hire, increases to $17/hr after 12 months. Opportunity for performance-based raises and bonuses. Benefits (Upon Permanent Hire): 100% Paid Medical Insurance, Monthly Bonuses tied to company sales goals, Attendance Incentives — earn gas cards and cash rewards Job duties: Operate CNC machines manually (handwheel & rapid traverse operations) Start and monitor spindles in manual mode Read and interpret technical blueprints and dimensional drawings Select and install proper tooling to complete jobs efficiently Use measuring tools (digital calipers, height gauges, micrometers, etc.) Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Stand for long periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs Qualifications: 3 years of CNC/machine operation experience preferred Strong skills in blueprint reading, math, and inspection Proven safety record with attention to detail Able to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and strong work ethic Comfortable working in hot environments and fast-paced conditions High School Diploma or GED required (Associate’s degree a plus) Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and post-offer physical Commitment to safety, precision, and continuous improvement This is a safety-sensitive position.
