About the position: We are looking for a Manager on Duty with a passion for the health and fitness industry to join our team at The Junction Sports and Leisure Centre. This role will involve supporting management in the delivery of the centres operational activities and services, as well as other YMCA sites as required, ensuring delivery is highly professional and customer focused. This role will involve: Assisting in managing, organising and taking part in all aspects of the centres day to day operations Working across several departments as and when required and ensuring all shifts and events are covered by staff Assisting in managing, coordinating and monitoring the recreational assistant team on duty during shifts, ensuring that all lifeguard duties, required document checks and daily responsibilities are completed in line with company policy/procedure Being responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation and administering first aid as and when required What were looking for: You will be a passionate and motivated individual who is driven by our mission to empower individuals and create stronger communities. The post holder will take responsibility for ensuring safeguarding children, young people and adults at risk as a priority and follow both YMCA Bournemouth safeguarding policy and BCP Safeguarding Children Partnership and Dorset Safeguarding Children Partnership statutory guidance. Employment will be subject to satisfactory references, right to work checks and a Disclosure and Barring Service check. If the role involves regulated activity with children or adults at risk, your employment will be subject to an Enhanced level DBS check prior to commencement date.
