We are currently accepting applications for a Senior Data Engineer in our Corporate Office on the East side of Madison, WI ranked the “1 Best Place to Live” by Livability.com JOB SUMMARY: This position will take a leading role in the design, implementation, and long-term management of our enterprise data warehouse. This strategic, career-oriented position is ideal for a candidate that will bring deep expertise in Microsoft data technologies, advanced SQL proficiency, and a strong commitment to data governance and security. QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Design and maintain our data warehouse, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business needs. Serve as the primary administrator for the data warehouse, overseeing day-to-day operations, maintenance, and user support. Develop and enforce data governance policies, including data quality, metadata management, and access controls. Implement and monitor data security best practices to ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Collaborate with business stakeholders and team members to understand requirements and deliver robust data solutions. Optimize SQL queries and data models for performance and reliability. Provide documentation, training, and support to team members and end users. Communicate with third party vendors. Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor, while following all company, safety, and quality policies and procedures. Maintain regular attendance 3 days per week in the office. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Four-year college degree in Information Technology or related field. Strong proficiency in SQL, including performance tuning and complex query development. 3 years of experience in data architecture and administration, with a focus on Microsoft data technologies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Manufacturing knowledge preferred Experience with Power BI datasets, Azure SQL, and Data Factory preferred.
