Job Description Job Description Salary: $20-$32 per hour Overview At Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. (DBF), our CAD Technicians play an essential supporting role in the production of a variety of infrastructure design. Our CAD Technicians help to enhance, maintain and protect the communities we work, live and play in. In this role, we are looking for an individual who is a problem-solver, driven and reliable; one who will identify opportunities to improve quality of work and services, and participate in their implementation. This position will include but not be limited to, assisting and providing support to various department throughout the firm with design, drafting, and development of construction drawings for infrastructure and residential projects including water, wastewater, stormwater, and streets. Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD is required for the position. Responsibilities Utilize the latest design software to accurately render and communicate design, plans, and other necessary related systems and structures. Perform analyses and calculations according to project requirements. Coordinate with engineers and surveyors regarding model accuracy, drafting standards, and design documentation. Prepare project documentation for client submittal. Use feedback to modify existing designs and develop solutions. Provide timely technical assistance. Handle multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously. Education & Skills The candidate should possess a high-school diploma or GED. The preferred candidate will have general knowledge of basic site design including grading and drainage and erosion control design. Two (2) years of direct work utilizing Carlson Precision 3D or Civil 3D, and construction drawing preparation is preferred but not required.
