Were looking for enthusiastic Computer Science students, or those studying a related subject at Bachelors or Masters level, to join our dynamic engineering team to make a big impact. At Gearset, you'll be a fully fledged member of the development team and work on real features, right the way through from their design, to developing them, to releasing them to our users. Please note - applications for this role will close on the 8th November 2025 Whats the opportunity for a Software Engineering Intern at Gearset? Our small engineering teams start from a few core principles but evolve over time. They all work a little bit differently, depending on their preferences and the problem they're working on. Y oull impact what we build, as well as how we build it. A great team does their best work with context and feedback - theres no substitute for talking directly with the people impacted by our work. Engineers work across the business and talk directly to customers and partners, to ensure we're solving the most pressing problems. Our tech stack includes C#, React, TypeScript, Postgres, AWS and Kubernetes. Youll become familiar with our pragmatically chosen stack, but youll also help us define what great looks like. Check out what our recent summer interns had to say about their time with us! What youll achieve Work as a core member of the engineering team to design, build, and ship features to production. Learn from, and share your experience with, a great team from a wide range of backgrounds in a feedback driven culture where you can do your best work. Work closely with users, delighting them with support, researching new features and gaining feedback to drive new ideas and ways to improve. Contribute opinions on a range of topics, from design practices to product strategy and roadmap. About you Be a current student studying for a Bachelors or Master's degree in a relevant discipline Be based in the UK, its not a role we can provide visa sponsorship for An eagerness to solve real-world problems and ship solutions, not just write code A passion for learning and continual improvement, being comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback to make your work even better You can read more about our engineering values here Great to haves Familiarity with C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript and React A link to a great example(s) of code you've written (e.g. GitHub) Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL We believe that diverse teams perform better, so if your experience doesnt fit perfectly or you don't meet every single requirement but youre excited about this role, wed love for you to apply anyway. Salary and benefits (the stuff youd expect!) You'll be paid £550 per week This is a full time opportunity, working Monday to Friday based out of our Belfast office.
